This sunny June Saturday was marking the beginning of Sophie and James’ forever journey in a Chelsea intimate wedding. It was a privilege to capture their excitement, their unique personalities and non-traditional approach to the wedding. It was indeed a day to remember, leaving the impression of Barbie and Ken wedding!

Getting ready in Kensington

Sophie and James weren't just any ordinary couple; they cherished each others’ uniqueness and chose to embrace it on their wedding day. When I arrived at their house to capture the preparations, I was delighted to see Sophie donning a stunning pink suit. She was radiating elegance and charm. James was just as captivating with his Colgate-like dazzling smile. He chose a white/beige suit that perfectly complemented his bride's attire. This couple's decision to break traditions and dress in a way that truly represented them was a testament to their authenticity.

Capturing the getting ready and meeting the family beforehand allowed me to understand the couple's roots and values. However it also helped set the stage for a more relaxed and enjoyable wedding day.

To Iconic Love: Barbie and Ken wedding

While capturing Sophie and James, I couldn't help but notice a striking resemblance to the iconic doll pair, Barbie and Ken. Similarly, they have an undeniable chemistry and fashionable appearance. They exuded charm and coolness. It was an amusing coincidence that a captivating movie was about the famous toy couple was released.

The couple grew to be very comfortable in front of the camera. This enabled me to capture the most candid and genuine moments.

The intimate ceremony was full of tears of joy, heartfelt vows and laughs. After the confetti filled the air and group shots were taken, we then embarked on a romantic journey through the colourful streets of Chelsea. We also stopped by flowery murals, a door that perfectly matched Sophie's outfit and captured moments of sheer romance by the nearby bridge.

Cadogan Hotel Wedding

Excitingly, we continued our journey, going to the Cadogan Hotel. It provided a peaceful and picturesque backdrop amid the bustling city of London. It was here that we took a break from the fast-paced excitement. We also savored the emotions that had unfolded throughout the day.

I feel privileged to have been a part of Sophie and James' intimate Chelsea wedding. Their unique personalities, love for each other, and willingness to embrace their individuality left a lasting impression. As the world celebrated the release of a movie about Barbie and Ken, it seemed only fitting that this special couple had a love story that could rival any fairy tale.

In conclusion, Sophie and James' wedding was a beautiful reminder that happiness (and great images!) lies in being true to oneself and embracing the uniqueness that makes us who we are.

Wishing the happy couple a lifetime of love, laughter, and blissful memories as they embark on this incredible journey together. If you would like me to photograph your Chelsea wedding, contact me here.
