Getting Ready in Style at The Ned
Annabel began her day in serenity and style at The Ned, one of London’s most iconic and luxurious hotels. The Ned also has a space to hold weddings. However Annabel had bigger plans for her guests!
Wanting to soak in the morning in peace, she chose to get ready with only her sister by her side. It was the perfect setting, a calm oasis in the heart of the city. She could treat herself and begin her day feeling looked after by her sister and her make up Artist Pam.
Wearing a breathtaking gown by Justin Alexander, Annabel look incredible. Her look was both timeless and modern, a perfect wink to her heritage as a proud Black bride and a celebration of the love she shares with Barry.
The Wedding Ceremony at Islington Town Hall
The heart of the celebration took place at Islington Town Hall, an architectural gem in North London and a glorious place for a Fusion wedding photographer like myself. Although the ceremony was brief, it was rich with emotion. Watching these two beautiful souls -Barry, Irish and charming, and Annabel, radiant and joyful —come together in such a heartfelt way was a powerful moment.
Bank Couple Session
After the ceremony, guests hopped onto a classic red London bus to make their way to the next venue. Meanwhile, Annabel, Barry, and I took a short detour through the streets near Bank for their couple session.
This time together was more than just a photo opportunity—it was a chance for the couple to pause, breathe, and really let the moment sink in. In London’s grand architecture, we captured some effortlessly natural yet sumptuous portraits that reflected their love, joy and excitement.
A Toast at The Counting House
We rejoined the wedding party at The Counting House, a traditional London pub near Bank, known for its character and grandeur. With a large portion of guests coming from Ireland, you can imagine that Guinness flowed generously. It was a beautiful moment of connection and community—exactly the kind of warmth Annabel and Barry wanted.
A Sky-High Wedding Celebration at The Gherkin
As day turned into evening, the celebrations reached new heights—literally. The final stop was for their wedding celebration was the stunning Gherkin, a venue that needs no introduction. Towering above the London skyline, it was an incredible setting to toast the newlyweds in style. With panoramic views stretching across the capital, guests were blown away—and so was I.
The reception was so elegant! Decorated with florals by Rachel Morgan Wedding Flowers, it set the scene in soft white and blush tones. Every detail was considered, every moment infused with joy. It truly felt like we were dancing in the clouds.
